Let the conversation begin. Healthy or bad habits began at home. No matter which habits you have learned good or bad. Yes we do understand that somethings are learned outside of the home. However the root of any habit starts with the home. Now that, that is out of the way. Let's get to the meat and potatoes of this conversation.
No matter what stage you are in life. You can create good and new habits, if you believe that you can. First thing you have to do, is figure out who are you doing it for and why are you doing it. Ex. health concerns, better overall health, nice looking body, the doctor's orders, etc.
Once you have your why, then you can began. If you have a strong enough why, when times get hard, you will remind yourself why you started in the first place and you keep pushing.
If you are reading this, then that means you are contemplating starting a new chapter to a better healthier you.
If so here are 5 habits that you can start today. 1. Focus on drinking 80 ounces of water day, which is the equivalent of 10- 8 oz cups of water. 2. Avoid consuming alcohol daily, especially sugary mixed drinks. 3. Walk 6,000- 10,000 steps a day, yes you will need a watch or a step counter, so you can track your movement. Here are some ways to get more steps, take the stairs when you can, park further from the door, go for a walk around the block, etc. 4. Eat a fruit when you feel like munching on something. 5. Have a veggie with every meal.
Just these five simple, yet effective habits will help you began your journey to being healthier. When you are healthier, you can help others become healthier as well and began to implement these same practices into your home and lifestyle.
